| Abstract | Current Web access can be characterized by high latency and indeterminate delays. To support collaboration within such an environment users need a consistency management scheme that is well suited to such difficulties. This talk presents Operation Transformations, a technique for non-blocking consistency management and how that technique has been used to build a web-based collaboration environment. The web based environment supports interactive shared three-dimensional graphics over the WWW in any standard Web browser and uses Operation Transformations to maintain consistency among shared objects and views. |
