Abstract A NASA mission concept study is in progress to define the instrumentation for an Advanced Cosmic-ray Composition Experiment for the Space Station (ACCESS). An Imaging Calorimeter for ACCESS (ICA) has been studied for an  ionization calorimeter to measure the cosmic ray spectrum energy up to 1016 eV. Monte Carlo simulation study for the ICA has been conducted to predict the detector performance and to design the system for match the scientific   objectives with GEANT/FLUKA software package. The results of the  simulations will be discussed in terms of usable energy range, expected statistics and energy resolution.
