Abstract

On July 22, 2005 the Open Science Grid was declared "Open for business," ending a transition phase for Consortium members from the Grid 3 infrastructure. With more than 50 participating sites and 15,000 connected CPUs, Open Science Grid is now one of the largest collaborative science grids in operation. In this talk I'll present a description of what and who the Open Science Grid is and how it operates as well as plans for moving forward with our major partners: the LCG and TeraGrid projects.
