Abstract

In-depth analysis of microbial genome sequences requires software support. Various issues have to be addressed to obtain a high quality annotation. These include gene finding, assignment of putative gene function, attempts at reconstructing metabolic pathways and finally manual verification of the automatically derived results. GenDB provides a very user friendly  web-interface that can be used by groups or individuals for this purpose.
