Tutorial Information:
The National Microbial Pathogen Data Resource (NMPDR), www.nmpdr.org, announces a fall tutorial on the use of the NMPDR resources for pathogen genome data mining, subsystem analysis and annotation. We host the following strains of pathogens as well as an additional 286 genomes that support our method of annotation through comparative analysis
Main NMPDR Organisms:
Campylobacter jejuni subsp. jejuni NCTC 11168 Campylobacter jejuni RM1221 Campylobacter coli RM2228 Campylobacter lari RM2100 Campylobacter upsaliensis RM3195 Listeria monocytogenes EGD-e Listeria monocytogenes str. 1/2a F6854 Listeria monocytogenes str. 4b F2365 Listeria monocytogenes str. 4b H7858 Staphylococcus aureus subsp. aureus MRSA252 Staphylococcus aureus subsp. aureus MSSA476 Staphylococcus aureus subsp. aureus Mu50 Staphylococcus aureus subsp. aureus MW2 Staphylococcus aureus subsp. aureus N315 Streptococcus pneumoniae R6 Streptococcus pneumoniae TIGR4 Streptococcus pyogenes M1 GAS Streptococcus pyogenes M5 Streptococcus pyogenes MGAS10394 Streptococcus pyogenes MGAS315 Streptococcus pyogenes MGAS8232 Streptococcus pyogenes SSI-1 Vibrio cholerae O1 biovar eltor str. Day two will be devoted to small group sessions led by NMPDR curators where attendees can pose questions, problems, and research areas and learn how to use the system to perform investigations.
Attendance is limited to the first 25 registrants.
