EZMod

Toolkit for design and deployment of optimization based Decision Support Systems (DSS)

EZMod is a full range of development and integration toolkit for optimization based DSS. EZMod brings new perspectives of power, performance and functionality. EZMod 2.0 is designed for WINDOWS 95/98 and WINDOWS NT and is accessible from a variety of programming environments such as MICROSOFT VISUAL BASIC, DELPHI, C/C++ environments (MICROSOFT VISUAL C, BORLAND C/C++, ...). EZMod is available as DLL or Active X.

EZMod provides many facilities to the developers in order to design, implement and deploy optimization based DSS without requiring solver-specific knowledge or expertise. The interaction between EZMod and the solver is completely transparent for the developer. The modeling activity is then solver independent.

Supported Solvers

EZMod supports a wide range of commercial solvers and allows access to their optimization capacity. The solvers currently supported are:

Supported Optimization Problems

EZMod users can model and solve linear programming problems (LP), integer programming problems (IP), mixed-integer programming problems (MIP), and quadratic programming problems (QP). Although commercial solvers are not designed to solve quadratic mixed-integer programming problems (QMIP), this is no constraint for EZMod users. With its most economic and popular linearization method, EZMod equips its user with an added feature to model and solve QMIP problems easily and efficiently.

Programming Environments

The user is free to choose his/her preferred programming environment. EZMod is currently running with:

Availability

EZMod is available on personal computers (all IBM compatibles) based on 32-bit Windows environments.
