OPTDES-X is an interactive design synthesis tool in which multi-dimensional design space can be investigated to identify a feasible as well as an optimal design. With OPTDES-X, the engineer may adjust design variables to find an optimal design, optimize with continuous and discrete variables, perform a sensitivity analysis, and produce graphical representations of the results. Typical applications include aerospace, automotive, chemical plants, control systems, power plants, robotics, manufacturing, and others. OPTDES-X is available on most UNIX platforms.
