General tool for solving numerical problems, including operations research problems
Speakeasy is a toolbox that provides access to many numerical libraries. These libraries include LINPACK, EISPACK, FFTPACK, and some components of NAG. Included in the Speakeasy package is a complete set of matrix operations and algebras for matrices, arrays, sets, and time series. The environment allows for easy formulation of problems in a notation that is familiar to technical users. A complete interactive graphics package is included. A recently available graphical user interface provides menuing capabilities.
For problems in operations research, Speakeasy provides interfaces to selected NAG routines and to IBM's Optimization Subroutine Library,
Available for IBM mainframes under MVS and VM, IBM RISC System/6000, DEC VAX under VMS, DECsystems and DECstations, and Sun workstations.
